Calling all literature lovers! This beautiful antique object is a Victorian seal fob - seal fobs were worn at the end of watch chains and used to seal the wax for letters and documents. A wonderful reflection of the personality of the owner. This example is very evocative - it has a beautiful profile of Shakespeare carved in milky green-white glass resembling chalcedony. Set in an 18k yellow gold cased pendant. Gold casing is a thicker form of gold plating common with fobs.

A wonderful way to connect with lovers of the written word throughout centuries, there are even traces of red sealing wax reminding of of its history! Perfect addition to a charm bracelet or necklace or stunning worn as a pendant on a chain.
