Calling all bookworms! This stunningly beautiful antique 19th Century French seal fob is engraved with the command "Lisez" - or Read! Used to mark correspondence or documents (like marking an email high importance)  it makes a beautiful accessory for readers today. Expertly crafted out of 14k gold casing (gold casing is the most common construction for seal fobs, a layer of gold thicker than today's gold plating) and deep red carnelian it charmingly has traces of the original red wax showing reminding us of its original purpose. It can be worn on a chain as a pendant or added to a charm bracelet or necklace. 

A perfect gift for the antique lover in your life.
