Victorian 14k Gold and Turquoise Hairwork Ring circa 1860
This unusual and wonderful Victorian antique ring dates from the mid-19th Century and features one of the most unique materials from this period- hairwork. The band itself is made from braided brown hair - While some find this macabre - it is often used in memorial or sentimental pieces it also just became a fashion and would be sold in department stores. At the center of the ring is a lovely yellow gold flower set with a turquoise center.
