This extraordinary Victorian antique brooch, circa 1860, is an early example of what we would call "costume jewelry." Incredibly detailed knot setting with beautiful green glass resembling "emeralds", pinkish red glass "rubies" and imitation pearls set in a wonderful yellow gold colored metal. All imitation but fabulous! The perfect accessory for a holiday party or special occasion.
