Victorian Agate, Black Enamel and Gold Mourning Ring
This wonderfully ornate antique English ring dates from 1867 and epitomizes Victorian design. Beautifully set with a central rectangular agate surrounded by elaborate black enamel designs that continue down the shoulders into a thick 9k yellow gold band.
Originally a piece that would have been worn during morning its striking appearance makes it a wonderful statement ring for today.

Dimensions: Central setting measures 14 mm wide by 12 mm tall and band measures 2.7 mm wide.

Hallmarks: 9 .375 for 9k gold, anchor assay for Birmingham UK and date letter "S" for 1867
Condition: In good antique condition. One chip to corner of central agate as seen in photos. Enamel is in good condition. Ring shows some evidence of previous resizing.
