Victorian Silver and Agate Cross Pendant
An absolutely incredible meeting of design and material in this late 19th Century antique Victorian cross pendant. Made entirely of a single piece of striped agate and topped with a silver cap and bale it shows the fascination Victorian's had with this stone. Agate features prominently in Scottish jewelry from this period- circa 1880 - as do crosses and this is a wonderful combination. Brown, grey and white swirl beautifully in an organic pattern that comes alive in the light.
